SMS Opt-In

How customers opt in to SMS at every Palms Studio storefront.

SMS on Palms Studio is strictly opt-in, captured on TCPA-compliant unchecked checkboxes a customer must tick affirmatively. There is no implicit consent, and no purchased, scraped, or imported phone lists. Customers opt in at two points, each shown below:

At checkout — transactional updates about a specific order.
When booking an appointment — reminders and occasional offers.

1. At checkout — order updates

The card below is a faithful, non-interactive replica of the opt-in widget that ships with every Tenant storefront on Palms Studio. The wording, layout, and default state match production verbatim.

2. When booking an appointment — reminders & offers

Storefronts with online booking show a second opt-in when a customer books an appointment. It is also an unchecked checkbox with full consent language. This is the consent for appointment reminders and occasional promotional offers.

What this confirms

Both checkboxes are unchecked by default. Consent is never assumed from silence.
The consent language identifies the brand (Palms Studio + the Tenant shop), the message types (transactional order/appointment updates, and opt-in reminders & offers), the message frequency, the rate disclaimer (“Message & data rates may apply”), and the opt-out method (“Reply STOP”).
The HELP instruction (“Reply HELP for help”) is present on both opt-ins.
Each opt-in is scoped to what the customer agreed to. Phone numbers are collected only at these opt-in points — we do not purchase, scrape, or import phone lists, and there is no SMS without an affirmative opt-in.
